Even though there are a good number of high earners in the field of affiliate marketing there are a much higher amount of affiliates who dont make money online. Understand that about 99% of affiliate marketers dont make money online. So why is it that only about 1% of affiliate marketers are earning a passive income online? What are they doing different from the rest of affiliate marketers? I am going to list 5 essential things the average affiliate is NOT doing and if they were these things they would indefinitely earn more income online.

Essentially these "Super" affiliates (if we may call them that) know how to build a residual income.. and I am going to name 5 things regular affiliate marketers are not doing to build residual income.

5 things "Super" Affiliates DO that average affiliate marketers DONT..

1. They Are Affiliates To The Hottest Products in their niche - "Super" affiliates spend time researching specifically for the best affiliates in their niche. Not necessarily the most popular but the best affiliates and the ones that seem to solve alot of problems in their niche.
   
2. Have Websites Specifically To Cater To Traffic For Their Affiliates - The internet is for users to be able to access the information they are looking for. So "Super" affiliates build websites that cater to their niche and give information to people who are searching for information regarding that niche. They advertise their affiliate products on their website. They have several pages of information and use their pages as a medium for their products.
   
3. Advertise.. Advertise.. Advertise.. They Understand The Power Of Advertising - "Super" affiliates use the tactics of advertising to their advantage on their own websites or forums. They advertise their affiliates or links to their own pages funneling their traffic through their own lane and they advertise every step of the way to their traffic. They also advertise their websites through signatures or direct advertising if its allowed on forums specifically catering to their niche because many times viewers in these forums are just looking for information regarding a certain problem. So they target their traffic by presenting themselves as a very helpful person by answering questions and really giving helpful information and that targets traffic to their website.

Build Their Own Opt-In Email List - "Super" affiliate marketers build their own opt-in email list through giving away free downloads on their newsletter or just giving something away of value for free and ask for their contact information in order to receive what ever it is they are giving away. They do this on their websites over and over in order to take advantage of the amount of traffic they are getting. They have already targeted this traffic enough through their advertising and then they get as much of their traffics contact information in order to continue advertising to these potential buyers.

Advertise and sell residual income building products to their own opt-in email list - Now that they have hungry & desperate internet users who clearly want more information on a certain niche and they have collected their contact information through newsletter or whatever they were giving away and the email list is in an autoresponder and they continue to advertise products in their email opt-in list which are usually recurring monthly billing products which they earn income from as an affiliate every single month. This builds them residual income through constant monthly checks and they get new sign ups daily through there traffic and they all enter the advertising funnel of the newsletter. So this is really targeted advertising.

Marketing a business online can be the best thing anyone can do for their business if they would like to achieve global awareness. The internet has become such an integral part of every person’s life and it shall only get bigger. If you can market your business successfully online then you can make a stamp that will stay online forever and bring you profits for the rest of your life.

Now there are many ways to market your business or affiliate(s) online, you can own your own website, pay for advertising (Classifieds, Text ads, Banner ads.. etc), join traffic exchanges, join and participate on forums, publish blogs & writing articles among other things. Many of these things can be done for free if you take the time to find out how to do it. Free advertising is all over the internet, most things you just have to dedicate some time into doing it and you can achieve a lot. Get on Google or any major search engine and search for free advertising, free online marketing or free internet marketing and I am sure various sites will pop up just waiting to teach you how to marketing things online. With this information right at your finger tips then actually marketing your business online is really about learning as much as you can about how to do it and then doing it.

After researching free internet marketing you should come up with a variety of traffic exchanges, free classifieds, free ad options, email opt-in list builders, safe lists & free networking sites. All these options are definitely some of the best ways to market your business or affiliate online for free. You just have to invest your time and good efforts into them and you will reap the benefits later on.

There are also various options for paid advertising that can be extremely profitable as well. Once you have a proper understanding of free internet marketing I would suggest looking into Pay-Per-Click advertising, Pay-Per-Play advertising, Newspaper Classified ads, Magazine Ads, E-Zine & Safelist advertising. Marketing your business properly is about doing things now that will still bring in profit years from now.

Whether you are advertising online/offline it can still be considered Internet Marketing as long as you are marketing your website/online business opportunity. Doing both is one of the best ways to earn income for years to come from things you do today. The Internet is like a library but one that can be accessed all around the world now & for years to come. I believe what helped me most with Internet Marketing is my determination and if you are determined to get it done then you will. The most important piece of knowledge about learning how to do anything in life I believe can be summed up into this statement “where there is a will, there is a way”. For anything you want to know, just seek the knowledge and you will find it and then what you do with that knowledge is entirely up to you. Doing anything in life, anyone can fail or be successful but the line is drawn when one decides to take action. Almost anything in life can be done if you are determined enough to get it done. So SEEK knowledge, PLAN your move & TAKE action. Be determined and never give up and that formula will lead you to success.

To make money online is easy, or should I say simple but just like anything else in life its about following instructions. Making money online its largely about duplication and success at most things is about duplication. If you are willing to duplicate the things successful people in any industry do then you have the will to be successful in that industry. Internet Marketing is the same but you can start doing this from your home or just sitting infront of a computer.

Everyone dreams of getting rich quickly and easily online. Unfortunately the truth is making money fast online is easy but only after you gain the knowledge and pay your dues.

You must be willing and disciplined to pay the price. Only those who consistently work to gain and apply the knowledge will achieve their financial goals online.

Online businesses are one of the fastest growing markets in the financial world. Making money online has many advantages over traditional brick and mortar establishments.

Businesses on the internet have very low start-up costs, little overhead, and are virtually always open and can provide automated streams of income. You do not even need to have any of your own products. Physical products are not required to create a fortune either. Digital products provide the highest profit margin imaginable for any online business. Usually employees are not required as well.

In contrast, traditional brick and mortar businesses do require employees, real estate costs, utility bills, insurance, among others and can only be open for business a limited number of hours.

But why do so many people fail to make money fast online? There are two major reasons.

First, many people who are looking to make money fast online are not willing to work. The truth is you cannot instantly amass a fortune overnight by magic or by flipping a switch. Yes, work is required to make money fast on the internet. Greed and laziness are two common characteristics many naturally own. Simultaneously these two characteristics are the most commonly exploited and preyed upon by shady individuals to profit from themselves.

Second, those who are willing to work, lack the knowledge of how to drive large amounts of traffic to their websites at a low cost. Failing to market properly to potential buyers often times breaks the bank, making it impossible for someone just starting out to make money fast on the internet.

Then how are so many people amassing fortunes quickly online?

Online fortunes are produced by those who simply gain the knowledge, then apply that knowledge, and are willing to apply it over a relative number of months rather than a few fleeting days. Making money fast and effortlessly online does not happen instantly. But it does happen fast every time knowledge is exercised.

Fast can be defined when understood within a contrasting timeline. For example, in order to become rich working for someone else in the corporate world, years and decades are a requisite to climb the financial ladder of success. Now compare the corporate world timeline to the online world. The ladder of financial success on the Internet is realistically weeks or months as long as real knowledge is gained and continuously applied.

The fastest way to gain the knowledge is to personally hire a mentor or coach as a systematic guide. However this student and teacher relationship can be expensive. A mentor will require substantial payment upfront in return for their time to properly teach a student. For example, a university or college expects students to pay their tuition in full before the semester begins.

Also, there is nothing in place to hold the mentor accountable to ensure your success. Once that mentor has been paid there is no guarantee you will be successful. As well, if you fail to graduate from a university, a refund will not be provided.

The alternative to hiring a personal mentor is to simply find a successful product or service where the supplier will financially benefit from your success. Selling a product where the profit is split between the student and the teacher holds both sides accountable. The teacher will be motivated to make sure the student is successful selling their product or service. Each time a sale is made, profit is divided among both sides in a previously agreed upon cut.

The bottom line is the more money made within a team, the more money divided among all members of that successful team. The secret of the very wealthy in any business field is leveraging the efforts of teamwork to produce the highest and fastest amount of money for all partners.

Now, you just need to find the right money-making relationship where both sides are held accountable to fast financial success. When you do find the right relationship, you will then be able to earn money as you learn the knowledge. As you continue to apply the knowledge, more money will be earned and you can then leverage more to make more and thus a relatively fast fortune is acquired.

Even when I read this article for the third time now it still hits the nail on the head when I read it. Timothy McGaffin words are true and it coincides with my thoughts before focus on learning the knowledge and applying the knowledge you learn and you will be able to earn money online. I have been applying all the knowledge I have learned since first reading this article and I smile because I know that I have accomplished alot of things that were spoken about in the article. I am not saying that I have made it or that I am super-rich or anything like that but I have found away to leverage my time, my efforts and my money by finding a 'team' to work with of sorts and I have faith in my strategies and my team and I teach my team how to duplicate success and not failure.
